I would ask your manager if they are making room for you to have a new duty. Has there been any issues between you and management you feel would have caused this? If not, I hate to say it but you are reporting to inept management. I had a duty taken from me, a duty that I was solely responsible and brought the system to my department. Instead of talking with me privately, I was told in a meeting. Clearly pissed, they contacted me to talk. It was evident there was no respect. And honestly, the manager didn't have a clue so I give her that. She ended up leaving later that year as she hated the job. Perhaps consider applying to other jobs where you are more productive and appreciated. Wishing you the best!

Document everything. Meet with your boss about why that happened and if they're making room for you to expand (come prepared with ideas that you want too).

If you have more time--- use it. Take on a project, build strategy or a team, take a certification course, etc. Get rewarded. Fingers crossed for you.
