Esther, I hear you – finding an internship can be really tough, even with great skills like yours. Don't get discouraged!

You might find some helpful resources and virtual experience programs on The Forage's website. They have a lot of content that could be useful as you look for roles. https://www.theforage.com/simulations

Wishing you the very best of luck in your search!

Who is sponsoring the internship? Is it through your school, or are you looking for a paid one that you are trying to do on your own? If you are attending a school, then contact the career development center there, as they often have referrals and information about companies that have taken on interns before.

If you think that one Google class will qualify you for a Project Manager role, it is no wonder you are having trouble. Most people seeking project managers expect experience in project management and project management certifications. My suggestion is to start working on projects related to your skills to get knowledge on how they work from the inside. While there, mentor individuals whose skills need improvement to demonstrate your leadership capabilities.

I'm in higher ed. Go to your career center for guidance. You need guidance on how to integrate your classes and school projects in a format that an employer will find valuable. You need a career coach to help you get a strong formatted resume together, and also, some key skills in job searching and interviewing. Request a mock interview. Employers hire people with experience. Taking a class is great, but you need experience. Your resume needs to reflect it. Also, for future internships, please make sure you go to all career fairs, and receive career coaching at your school well in advance of when internships start, the beginning of the summer. If you slacked off all year and are just now looking, you are behind. Network too and ask companies if they have any opportunity for you to use what you learned in your PM course.

Are you taking College courses? It sounds like you are taking online Google PM classes and not a planned degree. Can you clarify what learning path you are taking?
