It's not the same site as it's no longer focuses on raising people up but has been tearing posters down. It's take courage to express your opinions even anonymously.

We post on this site when we're going through highs and lows. Cutting remarks are not the same as constructive criticism. I don't mind people providing hard-hitting feedback that makes us think but there's a difference between being nasty and constructive.

A friend received such scathing remarks, she's closed her account. I posted recently expressing what I'm witnessing at work and also encountered backlash. Please remember that you don't know the poster, it might not come across as how they meant it and while you might not agree with their post, there's something to be said about the adage 'if you can't say something nice , don't say it.'

While I haven't taken my friend's action, I'm strongly considering leaving as well. I debated whether or not to post this message but I wanted to give members food for thought as your words can wound and you don't know what others are facing. If they are upset, it might not come across as articulate as it would in other circumstances.

People who are job searching and especially for months need the support of this community. Hearing hurtful remarks such as take anything you can find and are you really looking cut deep. From my own experience, I can report firsthand that I tried part-time / freelance roles and didn't hear back from those options and I finally found a full-time role. It's not my ideal job but right now, I'm grateful to have a paycheck.

To close, it takes a moment to be kind. Switching your comment from barb to constructive criticism provides a lifeline that someone needs and avoids the sting that hits harder based on what's going on in their personal lives.

I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation and various points of view exchanged. The fact is, it is so fascinating that small details make a significant contribution both to professional and personal development. I kinda agree, that the constructive feedback from a community can make a big difference in personal growth, and also the whole career development side. It’s just, seeing respectful discussions slowly decline is genuinely disappointing. When I was browsing resources like https://www.australianpublishers.com.au/, I noticed how supportive communities can lead to wiser decisions, more collaboration and, in the long run, stronger success for everyone involved.

What a wonderful reflection! Community feedback makes such a difference in our development. It is unfortunate to see that change taking place, even when book publishers, https://www.bookpublisher.au/ depend on real interaction for success. I hope that the community regains its previous friendly nature.

Completely agree with the author that having the right platform behind you makes career growth feel far more achievable. The same applies to workplace learning. A well structured powerpoint training presentation gives teams the same kind of clarity and direction that a great platform gives job seekers.

I support the view that community input is essential to making smart business and career decisions, but unfortunately, discussion quality has been declining lately.
