Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I received news that I was being laid off from my position — it came as a complete shock, but I’m staying positive and open to what’s next.

I’ve built my career around healthcare administration, care coordination, and member support, where I’ve had the privilege of helping individuals navigate complex systems and access the care they need. I’m deeply passionate about providing compassionate, organized, and person-centered service.

I’m now exploring remote or hybrid opportunities in:

Care or Case Coordination

Patient or Member Services

Healthcare Operations or Administrative Support

If you know of any openings, have recommendations, or can connect me with someone in your network, I would be so grateful for your support.

If you haven't already, update and fire up your resume and check out LinkedIn. Your position is in demand and there are many assets and networking opportunities on that site. It's a gold mine for a position like yours. Godspeed and good luck!

As a 45+ hiring manager. Flexible means can shift priorities quickly without taking things personal or getting riled up if we need to shift gears or table something that they worked on. i think the ability to do that is stronger with more experienced candidates (and that can be for those of all ages). Would never tag that with being younger as you attributed it to.

Please check in with all the big healthcare companies - Humana, BCBS, Molina, United Health, etc. They are often looking for remote roles like you are suggesting. Also check into your local/regional hospital systems, rehab/skilled nursing, and home health agencies as that could allow potential for hybrid work. Best of luck.

Stay away from United Health Care.

I'm glad to hear someone who loves their work and is passionate about it and also helping others. Layoffs can be terrible things but look upon this as a good opportunity to find a culture in your next employer where they are as passionate as you for being excellent! You got this.

Any self employment opportunities? People may be interested in hiring someone to navigate older health care, general care? Another area to check would be accounting firms that may have a trust department for eldercare?
