Hi community,

Hi community,

I'm looking for people's experience dealing with the legalities of FMLA . I work for an employment agency who placed me with a company. The company is ending my contract while I'm on FMLA. I have filed FMLA with the employment agency and my understanding is that they need to place me in a new position; however, I have not heard anything from the employment agency about placement and suspect they will not be placing me. I'm thinking about contacting a civil employment law lawyer to inquire should the employment agency not follow through.

I want to know if anyone has personal experience with FMLA law and how pursuing a lawsuit may impact my job search in the future.

Take a close look at all the laws around FMLA and how they apply to your case. Depending on whether you are an employee or contractor, company size, duration of service, it might not be worth filing a lawsuit.
