STEM is a huge field, there’s literally something for everyone who’s curious and wants to explore it.
There are hundreds of roles that fall under the STEM umbrella, from engineering and data science to biotechnology, mathematics, and environmental science.
A great way to start is by researching what’s out there. Try watching a few “day in the life of a [job title]” videos on YouTube to see what different careers actually look like in practice. You’ll quickly get a sense of what sparks your interest.
As an example, if engineering doesn’t appeal to you (it didn’t to me), maybe something in science, math, or technology will. I started my career in clinical medicine and eventually transitioned into a technical role in startups, proof that there are many paths into STEM, and you can shape yours as you go.
