Looking for advice on asking my DOS to consider moving me to another manager.
My company has 4 sales teams each with a different manager. I have been on my team for 7 years. My manager is not dynamic, but does not micromanage. Over the last 2 years I have not felt supported by him. Last year in particular it became very evident the lack of respect he had for working parents. He has been demanding, combative, and at times dismissive. He is rare to offer a solution for a problem or praise. He is holding me back in my day to day and with opportunity to be promoted. I am proven to be one of the most talented on his team. Is is possible to ask to be moved without appearing as if I am dramatic? How do I phase the conversation?
