Hello, I am looking to start my career a little late as i finished my MPhil In International Relations in 2022 and I got married the same year. I had hoped to take a break for a while to give sometime to the marriage and as the events turned sadly now i dont have a job and my marriage is crumbling. I want to look for a job now because without Phd the scope of being a lecturer is futile and i am losing patience. I want to know some options that i can take to start my career in something other thab lecturership.

Please take some professional advice and use your networks. Look around yourself at the people you admire professionally or otherwise and ask them. You may be feeling pretty burnt now, but you can be a Phoenix. Wish I had a phd.

    Three books (in this order):

    1) What Color is Your Parachute?, by Bolles

    2) Designing Your Life, by Evans and Burnett

Most community colleges will accept those with masters degrees as long as the graduate work matches their needs.

Have you considered research or working as a teacher or assistant teacher? I would suggest networking with your alumni groups from the University your attended. Also consider joining some of the groups or associations who support your field? Maybe writing articles for some of the publications in your field. Networking is a great way to gain advice and ideas on your path forward.

I would apply to any NGO or IGO that interests you. You can always do field work and then later if you want to go back for your PhD, you are a more well-rounded researcher/practitioner.

try doing something close to your field. You can console yourself in the fact that tenure track jobs are hard to find.
