Ladies,

Ladies,

After being affected by a massive and being of work since October, I FINALLY have a second job interview TODAY! They really seem interested in me and things are moving pretty quickly…. She said to me, “she would follow up with me shortly after my interview with him“.

I am really excited about today. I have done all my prep work and practice and feel ready for this. I’m just nervous! I just wanted to ask for some good and positive vibes from you ladies. I would really appreciate that.

I hope all have a wonderful day!

**** UPDATE****

they went with another candidate “that had more alignment to the role”. This was an exact match of what I have been doing for the last 10 years. I was VERY upset when they told me, but it was not meant to be. Still bummed.

Wishing you all the best and that's a good sign that they mentioned follow up already. Good luck!

I'm sorry to hear and this is happened to me so many times during my search! There are factors out of our control. We don't know their internal politics and that verbiage can encompass a wide-range of issues including internal candidate, and lower salary, etc. After a final round, I felt it was one of the best interviews I've ever given. I felt confident that I was going to receive an offer.

I followed up and radio silence and this was after 5 rounds. The following Monday, the job was reposted for $30K under the bottom of the range I was quoted. Most of the time, we'll never know from the outside looking in and it stings especially as you feel it was tailored fit for your background.

Give your self time to grieve what could have been by enjoying something just for the fun of it. Spend time with friends, go outside for a walk or time away from your computer by having an unwind day before continuing searching.

I've prepared to move based on verbal offer that turned it the exact verbiage you received a week later. Sending positive vibes your way and wishing you the best of luck in your search!

That is correct, October. my release date was 1/5. UE covers 6 months for me, but still doesn’t cover my bills. It’s definitely scary out there, but we can DO THIS!

best of luck in your search. Sending you good vibes ✨

I was laid off in July and although I've progressed to a few final interviews, I haven't received an offer. I had to move in with family when UI ended and as Laura mentioned, in NYC, it didn't even cover my rent. While salary ranges are adjusted for cost of living, UI doesn't come close to addressing what's needed to pay the bare minimum. Be prepared for at least a 6 month or longer search if you're actively looking each day! Good luck!
