Hello! Please help! I am being invited to a meet-and-greet virtual meeting with the manager after two interviews with team members.

I am excited about approaching the finish line in the hiring process after having sent 122 applications in 11 months. To provide some context, this is a position with local government requiring me to move across the country, which I am willing to do if the offer and benefits are right. For this particular meeting, how should I prepare in terms of anticipating the questions they may ask? What are some good questions I should ask the interviewer? Appreciate your input as I do not want to ruin my chances of getting hired. TIA.

Congratulations. I'd recommend searching your situation online with recommended questions to ask and answer- then prepare them. You can even do role playing with ChatGPT to prepare. Some folks use an AI app running on their computer during the virtual interview to get answers in real time, but I wouldn't. It could be distracting, you'd need to practice the tech first.

It's good just to prepare / practice. Also, do something to settle your nerves prior to the meeting.

If they've picked you to interview (and your out of state), they're interested. Now, you may be a top selection. You may also be an outlier. So prepare your answers to shine. Show your interest in continuing the conversation in the next round.

We need dedicated, enthusiastic, compassionate people working in local government. Share a condensed version of why you're a good fit (and how you'll work with the community).

    Good luck!
