Does anyone know companies that are hiring ?

Does anyone know companies that are hiring ? I’ve been actively searching for remote job opportunities, but it’s been incredibly challenging. Many listings either appear to be scams or require advanced qualifications such as a master’s degree for roles that should be relatively straightforward. I need a remote position due to my responsibilities as a caregiver for my daughter, who is disabled, but legitimate opportunities seem scarce.

I don't want to be the bad guy here, but unless you have help at home with your daughter, you are going to have a hard time with a remote job.

I appreciate you looking out. I’ve taken the steps needed to make sure I can manage both my responsibilities and a remote role effectively. What works for one person might look different for another, and that’s okay.

I appreciate your input, but every situation is different. Remote work is still very much alive and evolving, especially in companies that value flexibility and outcomes over outdated policies. As for caregiving, that’s a personal matter and well-managed on my end. Also, not every child with a disability qualifies for the same benefits — and not every caregiver is trying to live off the system. Just because something doesn’t apply to you doesn’t make it universal.

Set up job alerts on LINKEDIN and set them as remote. For the other part of caring for your daughter get a home health care aid that can tend to her while you work.

Thank you so much for your message you’re actually the first to respond so kindly.

Aw thank you. I don't see any reason to be anything but kind. I cannot imagine how hard it is to care for a disabled child let alone trying to work at the same time. Remote options are becoming less and less. But you have 2 goals, one to care for your daughter and the other is to make a living. Marrying the 2 is hard. But having income first, then finding someone you trust to help out would be great. Hang in there!

Please don’t listen to the negative comments you received. You do not have to tell anyone that you have and care for your disabled daughter. And, yes, there are remote jobs out there. However, I can’t help you with advice on finding one, as I am not having any success finding one for myself. Good luck.

I was starting to think women on here are against helping one another and then you sent this. Thank you so much for your kind words and support it truly means a lot. I’m sorry to hear that you’re also having a tough time finding remote work. It can definitely be challenging. I hope things turn around soon for both of us. Wishing you all the best and thank you again for your encouragement.

Check the Indeed app. It is surprisingly good and there are a lot of remote positions posted. The Indeed website remains fairly useless.

One option is to apply for caregiver benefits. I'm not sure where or how, but I know they exist. You can start by checking with a social worker at your child's medical care facility or your local state Medicaid office. Does your child receive disability benefits? That is also an option. There may be many options besides a remote job that can help, at least until you find work that suits your lifestyle and provides the appropriate work-life balance for your situation. I'm having a similar problem with a husband who is on kidney dialysis, and the social worker at his dialysis center has helped tremendously. I haven't had the chance yet to apply for caregiver benefits, because his situation does not preclude me from working, as he does not need 24/7 care yet. So, I am trying to start my own business where I can choose my hours (primarily on the days he doesn't have treatment).
