Hello everybody, I am currently looking for any job in the US. I finished my Physics Bachelor's degree last month and trying to flee my homophobic, sexist country.

Don't look just in the US. There are plenty of countries in Europe, plus New Zealand, Australia and Canada that have a more liberal outlook and policies favorable to women than where you are now. Have you considered applying for a Master's program in a country you've considered relocating to? It would give you an idea if that's where you want to move permanently, plus give you some more employment options with an advanced degree.

I am sorry to hear US citizens telling you the upcoming election will impact your opportunities here. I do not agree. I have been in the workforce for decades with all kinds of changes and although there will always be pockets of negativity towards others a good person can find the right fit and be very successful. But I do agree if you have the world as options, look to see what company culture and country culture meets what you need! Good luck and congrats!! ☺️

    Congratulations on completing your Bachelor's!

Having followed our US politics now for 10 years - this next election could either help this country stay on the right path - or direct it to something horrific. If you do wish to move to the US, please research where you want to live. Some states are much more favorable than others.

As Kat noted, there are other countries in the world who have more understanding outlooks and policies. I would ask you to hold off moving to the US until our next election is over in November. Unfortunately, there are many places here in the US that are as homophobic and sexist (not to mention racist) as where you're coming from.

I wish you all the best.
