Does a 30-day notice include weekends?

Does a 30-day notice include weekends? I have an initial offer pending a background check, but no paperwork for a contract or salary yet. Am I correct to wait until I officially sign an offer before giving the 30-day notice?

Are you required to provide a 30-day notice? Traditionally, it's 2-weeks, unless for higher positions. Now, with that said, I would wait until offer is signed and background check is complete before giving notice.

Normally thirty days is thirty days from the time of notice.
