I love the freedom I get working as a consultant.

I just wish I could afford not having to work full-time. I am tired.

Decide what you like best when you work: salary, benefits, time off, flexibility? I'm happiest when I'm remote, however, that is going away. I'd prefer to be only remote but the org I'm in would not allow 5 days per week. I'm tired too, but I'm uplifted by the work I do and the people I help. I also focus on my personal life. It's important to do things outside of work that you enjoy, be it gardening, walking in a park, by water, or taking a cooking class. I'm of the age that I would love to retire but it is not realistic to me. I miss the days I worked as a contractor as I was remote, and I fed off of flexibility and money. If my employer does not allow some flexibility I'll keep seeking something that does. All that to say, what do you need to be happy in your life? If like me flexibility is key, then you should seek remote work or different hours. Look, we all have the same 24 hours, it's what we do with them that matters most. Keep us posted!

Take a vacation. Being broke , unemployed with no prospects is a whole lot worse.
