Tom Petty was Right!

Tom Petty was Right!

Any of you who are also in the hurry up and wait phase of the application process

- where you've applied to a role (or multiple roles), you can only hope it made it through screening and actually onto a recruiter's pile for review, and you are just waiting for either a rejection email or an interview request (preferably the latter!!)

- you all know what I'm talking about, right?!

"Waaaaiting is the harrrrrdest part!" - Tom Petty

So what do each of you do to keep your sanity and not jump every time you get an email alert??

True. But keep on moving and applying to other positions while you are waiting. You never know which will come through. Sometimes the one that you are "a perfect fit for" -at least in your mind - will not come through, but another one, often better, will materialize later.

You will find the right fit if you keep at it. The last time I went through this process, I was rejected twice, but the third time was even an "ideal" job for my requirements at the time. These openings do exist if you are persistent!

Lol. My current work-related Tom Petty song is "Don't Do Me Like That." :)

Great song! I concur. I keep applying. I try not to get overly excited about a “dream job”, and keep my expectations at a minimum. I continue searching the available positions and apply. “You take it on faith, you take it to the heart…”. :)
