Hi there! As mentioned within our Community Guidelines, we welcome all people, including male allies, to engage and explore what Fairygodboss has to offer.

You can be an ally, never under estimate your role in the workplace for supporting all people.

There are other males here. Most of the conversations aren’t specific to what women experience. Most of them are just good advice.

Welcome! We may benefit from a male perspective on some workplace questions or thoughts here and we hope you are open to learning from a female perspective in a way you may not get to hear normally!

I can't think of anytime in my rather long career that I would not have welcomed a male ally. Most of what you see on here would apply to all genders, but for the things that are female specific, it can give you some great insight into what other people experience in their workplace that you might not experience yourself. If that builds knowledge and empathy, it is only a win-win. So welcome, I hope you find value in your interactions here!

    No you’re not be yourself

Welcome. It is for advice and if you find it helpful, not a problem!

Nope you may be a wonderful insight for some of us females.

Hey welcome - I don't think the fairygodboss is gender specific - so much to learn here and ask for and give advice !

Hi, welcome. It's OK. We are here to help each other. While most users identify as women, there are also men, nonbinary people, and others. Anyway, we're a nice, supportive bunch. Welcome!

Not at all, but I was confused - in my part of the world whiffed just means smelly, and I thought you were going to talk about finding that you're a bit smelly at work (it happens...
not just to me I'm sure). Anyway, welcome.

It's a safe space, so as long as you're here to maintain that space for women then I believe you're welcomed to stay. It's a great way to invite curiosity into life by gaining a deeper understand of other's experiences and challenges.

Well that's good to hear - I am the original poster of this message! My pedigree is that my mom, as a single mom in the 1970's, launched her career and founded the Westchester Association of Women Business Owners [pretty sure it's still around today] but I do not believe she ever received her lifetime achievement award! : )

I am happy to offer any perspectives - feel free to reach out to me directly.

I am looking for a new [and preferably long term and final stop] on my career journey - as it seems a lot of you are as well.

But I bring a trove of experience in a multitude of facets that if we can sync up in a business relationship, I'd be all ears. And I love making connections for others, so if you link to me on LinkedIn and see someone I might be able to provide an intro for, please ask. Karma is a boomerang.
