Be wary. I received a letter with the same wording, when I phoned to ask for clarification, I was informed that I would be banned for ten years for bothering this company ("We will contact you") and they were the biggest employers in the city at the time. After a few years, I realised how lucky I was to not be employed by them, but at the time I was heart broken. So - wait, just as their communication said to do.

That is shocking!! I recruit for my organization and I see myself as an advocate and resource for candidates as they move through the process. It is ludicrous to think asking a clarifying question would get you banned.

So, in your opinion what would this mean.
The email came from the Talent Advisor.

    That's so weird.

Banned for ten years? You dodged a bullet. Imagine working for a place with that mindset.

Banned for ten years? That is so bizarre. Thank the heavens you dodged that bullet. That is not a normal sentence to be used in the first place for that question….or any question asked.

It’s likely an auto generated email from their applicant tracking system. I wouldn’t be too concerned. Send a thank you email to whomever you interviewed with and then follow up in a week or so if you haven’t heard back.

It went well & you'll likely have more interviews or a job offer.

I think it means exactly what says. Stand by.

One word. "Bizarre". I think someone thought they were being very clever with this wording. It didn't work too well. Next time, stick with the tried and true. Avoid being "clever".

I just went through a round of interviews with a large company (think Mouse Ears). I had a couple of phone interviews first (two different positions), and after both I received an automated email like this.

It asked for feedback on the experience in general (with a link to a survey, even!) and said they would be contacting me soon about next steps. I think it means exactly what it says - thanks for your time, and hang tight. Good luck!!

    It's a "form letter" . . .

The communication you should focus on is the actual "next steps" email (if it actually comes . . . ), and an offer letter.

It's kind of a "kit" email. Keep in touch, they are acknowledging the step you are at and confirming that they are still considering you. If you failed the interview you would likely have gotten a rejection form letter at that point.

Please let us know how it works out in the end. I received a similar email asking me to rate the experience with the recruiter right before they canceled my second interview for the third (and final) time. As they never even gave me a courtesy call I wrote them off (dodged a bullet - I require common courtesy in all interactions even though courtesy is no longer common) and did not reply to the survey in the email. I think these form letters can go either way.
