Job Postings

To the recruiters out there, I have a question for you-before you repost a job, do you take the time to re-review the resumes you received from the original posting?

I applied to a job where I was rejected quickly and then saw the same job re-posted weeks later.

Also, why do you automatically reject a candidate based on their pay requirements? Wouldn’t it be better to get the best candidate and negotiate the pay?

If they re-posted the job, they clearly didn’t find the right candidate (not sure why you would say that, anonymous replier). I also don’t get why you would assume this person wasn’t qualified.

Jobs are getting thousands of applications and the Ai filters aren’t necessarily the best.

there are also ghost jobs, where people just post them for resume sourcing.

to original poster, even if they check old resumes, you’re better off avoiding this place and not waiting you time on either 1)a bad job that keeps getting reposted because they can’t find candidates (in this market!) or 2) a ghost job that never existed.
