I've been looking for a full time job since 2024 April after my father passed I cannot believe I'm still unemployed .After small contracts nothing else has come through. I just want a great full time gig in communications. 2 yrs ago I was placing a maga pastor and US Senator. Now I'm on the verge of homeless was begging for help . HTH is anyone saying the job market is good? For whom?? I'm highly skilled and can't find a thing . I'm pissed off and tired of trying to get jobs I'm qualified for only for an algorithm to send me a notice of moving on to another candidate.i don't know what else to do. I'm tired of applying with no results

I was laid off in June and it took me until Dec to land a new role at half of what I was previously making. However my new role has some perks. The market sucks and I’m glad I landed this role than continue on unemployment. I know you said you are nearing homelessness, any chance you can get a career coach or have someone review your resume?

I understand how frustrating this job search has been. It's incredibly tough (for me as well), and it's okay to feel frustrated and discouraged. Remember that your skills and experience are valuable. Keep your head up, stay positive, and don't give up on your search.

Perhaps try to connect with other job seekers in your field or someone more junior or college student who needs help or tips in their career journey. Sometimes, sharing experiences and offering support to each other can be incredibly helpful during this challenging time. I hope you find the right opportunity soon.

So sorry for your loss, I am sure that is not helping your overall mental health during what is a much longer than usual job search. Generally many larger companies have decimated their HR/Talent teams and are using ATS (systems) to filter out applicants. You cannot simply apply for jobs. Reach out to folks who know you and know what you have been through and know your work and ask them to refer you or to post your profile to others. Take temp work in the mean time and nothing should be beneath you even hourly work if that gets you out and in a more positive state. Take the time to network and go to meetups if you can and blog on linkedin or share your experience so that you stay relevant and top of mind. Good luck, and keep plugging.

This job market is terrible. After being laid off I accepted a job far below my skill set with very large pay cut. I understand what you are dealing with. When interviewing it is important not to be desperate to eat and pay bills. My suggestion is get a job, any job it does not need to be in your field it could be gig work or a temp job. This is just for now, it will help your mental state when applying and interviewing.
