I started a job less than three months ago, still in the probation period.

While in this period I enjoyed the work, arrived on time and learned fast. As the job was similar to the last job I worked 7years ago. I got along with everyone but two ladies. One of them was more passive aggressive and micro managing me like she was my boss while the other would make slur comments and what not. After observing these behaviors for a while I reached out to my supervisor in which agreed it wasn’t okay at the time as well. We had a mediation and it went horrible and unresolved. The behaviors continued until a team meeting the ladies threatened me and wanted to fight. The next two days I took it to HR and they acted as if they were concerned. After letting my supervisor know that I took it to HR she got upset with me and took it personal. She wanted to move me to another area in the company and then the following day I met with HR and my supervisor and they came to a decision that I wasn’t a good fit. Despite the supervisor telling me I was doing great and loved my work ethics.

    So you were let go?

    Yes

Collect unemployment and seek a new job. That company sounds immoral and unethical. Looks like you didn’t fit like they wanted you to tolerate the BS. Hang in there and seek a better environment with nicer people.

I'm so sorry this happened. During the probation period they will cut you for any reason, whether it's your fault or not. If you have any documentation, based on the slurs you may have a civil rights case.

I’m confused. All this happened at your new job in less than 90 days? If that’s the case they are correct you are not a good fit. It sounds like a pretty badly run company if you were subjected to this type of treatment. Collect your unemployment and get another job.

Can u actually collect unemployment since it’s within that 90day probation?

I'm so sorry you were seen as a bad fit. Sometimes it's best to move forward by leaving it behind you. I'm at a loss as to any further action. You were there such a short time.

Remember, HR is not for you, they are there to protect the company. Sad but true!

Frustrating. Have everything in writing, witnesses and get a lawyer. HR is not your friend it is for the protection of the company.

What do you expect this employment lawyer to do for you? I had a similar situation and a free phone consult with an attorney who said that he understood the situation but the fight wasn't worth it. It's simply between women so it has nothing to do about protected class

Honestly, they are correct, it wasn't a good fit. People who behave this way do it regardless of who is in the role. They were permitted to be nasty, so the culture counter to your (perfectly reasonable) expectations.

Document everything and apply for unemployment.
