Hi Fairies. I’m struggling on my resume.

Hi Fairies. I’m struggling on my resume. I understand listing 15 years max on your resume. So if I worked for a company for 20 years, do I list the full employment dates and then just the positions and accomplishments for the last ten years or only list my employment dates for the ten years? It looks misleading if I list my full dates of employment but only list the positions for the past ten years.

I wouldn't shorten the amount of time at a company but wouldn't add additional roles past that 20-year mark. For example, I have 25 years of experience and I had a role commence in 2005 and as far back as I've listed on my resume. The other positions I remove. That being said, if there's a field requirement that obtained in my earlier positions, I include that information in a career / industry highlight section. I hope that helps!

If it all fits on the page, I'd list it. Don't overthink what the norms are.
