My supervisor at my job dislikes me so much that she only talks at me 6 has been openly rude, has cliques and gossips about me behind my back with senior colleagues.

My supervisor at my job dislikes me so much that she only talks at me 6 has been openly rude, has cliques and gossips about me behind my back with senior colleagues. Unfortunately for her, the boss at my workplace suddenly threw her weight behind me and did it publicly. Now even colleagues that were nice to me, suddenly became aloof with me. What do you think?

Does not sound like a good situation. Do you mean your direct boss's boss stood up for you?

If that's the case, your boss may not be there long now.

I would meet with the boss's boss alone and thank him/her for standing up for you and ask if there’s anything else you can do to help. Meanwhile, do your work well and ignore the gossip. Do not engage in the drama.

Curious, why do you think your manager dislikes you? Are your peers your age, is the manager close to your age? I ask because this sounds like people who have not worked for very long. I’m only guessing here but as one ages the least likely we are prone to peer pressure. If she dislikes you and her minions are not talking with you, she’s influencing the others and it’s peer pressure. Talk with her boss then talk with HR, I betcha she won’t be there for long. Either way suggest you update your resume and find a more professional and fertile environment.

"Curious, why do you think your manager dislikes you?"

My goodness - why this gaslighting question? This happens often. This question is passively placing blame on the victim of a situation. Surprised this question was not asked, "What have you done to correct this situation, to make those who you think don't like you, like you? What reasons have you given your coworkers to gossip about you? Do all you can to stop those behaviors."

When someone does not like you, it is generally obvious they do not.

This is not a gaslighting question. It's a question of curiousity from what the original OP shared. Nothing in my reply was nasty but your final statement is your opinion, is it not? Allow the OP to reply, you don't need to jump in and tell others how to ask questions. It's okay to ask OPs questions to understand the situation so we can assist. This site isn't about posters like you jumping in calling us gas lighters. Be kind. Your reply was not.
