Hey

Hey

I have problem,my boss just ask to work a day where I have an obligation and I had this obligation since I start, now he says I need to work. He had also taken other time away as well with I requested. This of course is because we're short staffed, but we're always short staffed, because of both my boss. So I think it is ridiculous to ask me to this since he's known this for two years. He said we'll get back to normal ounce new people come but I do not trust him. because he said stuff like that before when I wanted sunday off now I working on Sunday.

It doesn't sound as if he cares much about you or your schedule. Politely remind him that you need that day off because you have a doctor or dentist appointment , you're going to your child's graduation, or whatever good reason it is that you signed up for the day off in the first place. Don't make it a question; make it a statement. If there is work you can do ahead of time to make your absence less inconvenient, do that, but otherwise don't worry about it.

He is making you pay the price for his incompetence. Stand up for yourself. Companies will abuse you as much as they can.
