Yes! In 2023 I was laid off after 25 years in a job where they didn’t value my expertise and now am in a company where they do. I have the same challenges with what I do as the previous job but the stress is much lower due to the great company culture. So glad to hear you are also experiencing this.

I did and it was amazing for the almost three years I was there( laid off in March 2024). Hope to get back there soon in this new job market.

Yes! I worked almost 10 years for a company where I was constantly micromanaged and told what a terrible job I was doing. I was a nervous wreck at the end of every and often cried in my car to and from work. I was given a choice to quit or take a demotion where they would keep me at the same pay, but without bonus (and over 50% of what I earned was bonus.) I obviously resigned and took a 4 month temporary job. The company liked me so much they offered me a full time position. I have been here for over 5 years and it is the best job I have ever had!

I went thru the same thing . Horrible situation for +10 years and then got a new one that was heaven . It build my confidence for a little less than 3 years ( laid off). Good I can find it again .

Yes - I actually moved to a different position within a company to a totally different department and am loving the new culture and managers who actually appreciate a person. My prior manager made me cry and be stressed out every day (and I'm not a person who cries easily and worked very hard on my career - had been there 19 years). New department has opportunities to grow career and great co-workers. Thankful every day for new position. I still find myself doing "protective" things but such a habit after the last few years.

This gives me hope! Entering the New Year at my same job where I am over worked & underpaid. I feel discouraged, but I am holding on to hope that I will get a job where I am appreciated!

I have experienced this, unfortunately the job is a temp one that I only work during the summers (State Park). It's making it that much worse to work as a cashier for the winter in a horrible job. I'm counting the days until I go back to the park.

I left a job I was at for 14 years. I'd been micromanaged and mistreated for the last 5 of those years. It wasn't until I left did I realize how that toxic environment affected me. I had workplace trauma and it took a while to get over. Leaving a place that I planned to retire from was a hard decision, but I'm so glad that I did. Congratulations! I'm happy for you.

Landed my dream culture...and it wasn't even remotely intuitive that this place would be for me! It's lovely!

Wonderful, I'm so happy for you. I've experienced this with a change in managers, and it's great.

Yes! In the fitness realm. Worked for a gym with an abusive owner and toxic work culture. Never again. I'm still in the fitness world, but NOT a gym. The pay is now 5x more and the people I'm around are caring & grateful.
