As an administrative professional, is it beneficial to have a certification if you are looking to advance in your current organization? Or would additonal training/course completion work as well? If it is the later, any suggestions on courses or training to take or where to start looking? TIA

LinkedIn has courses available if you upgrade. I think it’s worth it because it’s on your LI profile.

I haven't added my courses to my profile, but I will do that. Thanks.

IMO, any time you can add to your depth of learning knowledge that could be beneficial to your current and future companies ROI is always good. Be a Life Learner.

It's always helpful to arm yourself with professional development and certifications where you can. It is a value add and could catapult you to the top of a candidate list when seeking work. It shows you have drive, ambition and are genuinely interested in doing better in your line of work. I'm not an adm professional but as another poster mentioned, look at LinkedIn and also look at your current company if they offer any training courses that could be free of charge. Good luck!

That's awesome! I just updated my resume today with a couple of things I just completed. I think it helps us look more engaged and interested.

Yes. For some, it's very tricky to manage time and finances. If you have time and finances (even work benefits/ tuition reimbursement)----use them.

For tips on courses, Asking folks here is one way. Asking your work is another. If you have a dream job, search what the skills are. You could also search online for "best courses/certificates for (XYZ)"-- you may want a title or just take courses. Do you want skills in marketing, design, project management, etc. List goes on. You may also want to get yourself a subscription to sites like Coursera and just take as many courses as you can.

    Good luck!
