CEO tells me “I don’t care”.
i work for a behavioral health firm as a senior recruiter and the ceo and I were talking about critical needs and hiring. We are growing and we are hiring another recruiter.
Anyway, we were talking and I said that I made over 30 hires in a couple of months which included doctors, clinical leadership and clinicians. Her response was I don’t care. I felt that all of my contributions to this company were not valued. It was really a ouch in the gut.
This comes on the heels of a discussion about me using 2 days of PTO to attend my daughter’s staged reading for a broadway play in New York. She initially said that this was a critical hiring time and we need to get the school clinicians in place. I did and I took the time needed to support my daughter. She told me that she was not approving my PTO. I am an exempt employee and have 50 hours of PTO in my bank. Can she legally do that?
