Reading all these post, my concerns seem so trivial.
I went to school for Medical Assisting, graduated but never tried for my certification. After taking care of my grandmother for 6 years I just did not have the time or motivation to take the certification. Now it's too late as I graduated back in 2012. Life just seem to have gotten away from me. The jobs I have had paid the bills barely. I worked four years at hospital as a house keeper, but got tired of the favoritism, racial bias when it came to applying for what I considered better positions, and office politics, I decided to go PRN. Plus after four years I was only making $12.10/hr. I just could not take it any more. I found a job in customer service...again, but I felt like the company took the employees for granted and I felt bad about lying to the customers about the company's products (company has some of the worst products on the market). Now I work as a FedEx Casual Courier. A new program they are trying out, but they do not tell you it's basically a PRN position. Although the pay is good, you may or may not get hours from week to week. I need steady income. So now I am looking for a 40 hr a week job with benefits and just feeling a little lost right now. Man, this is a lot! I guess I just had to get this off my chest.
