Interview!? I could only hope for such.

Interview!? I could only hope for such. I am a single mother that is 48 years old I have a ton of qualifications, well I have something in literally everything it seems. But, no one will give me a chance to prove myself as an asset. Because I know I would be a valuable employee wherever I were to land. The problem? Finding someone that is willing to take a chance on me.

Mindboggled?!?!

It's very tough in the market right now. No one seems to be able to find a job regardless of their education or experience. The jobs are just not there. The economists and labor experts are saying next year but no one can wait.

Attend job fairs and network as much as you can. Let your friends, family, neighbors, etc. know that you're looking. Honestly, it's often who you know more than what you know right now. Have you already tried temping agencies? Sometimes they can help. If you have a degree, you might be able to substitute teach or even get an emergency certification to be a regular teacher. If all else fails, try restaurants; they don't pay well but they always seem to be hiring.
