Let's create some POWER Statements today!

Let's create some POWER Statements today!

ACTIVITY for the Day

You've heard of affirmations, and these are great, but they also have their place. They tend to be about feelings versus what is.

Today, let's do some POWER Statements.

Find yourself a safe space and some quiet time.

Open a blank document, screen or book and have it ready.

Ask yourself...What are the things that I have accomplished in my life that I am the most proud of?

This is not restricted to only your career but anything in life, including things like raising a family, taking care of a family member, etc.

Come up with at least 5 POWER Statements, 10 would be ideal.

Example:

Affirmation - I am smart.

POWER Statement - I earned an MBA with a dual concentration in Marketing and Leadership.

See the difference! On any given day I can change my mind about that affirmation based on how I feel but the POWER Statement remains the same (factual) regardless of how I feel about myself that day.

Once this is complete, I want you to have this available to read. You will read this every day for the first week. I recommend reading it in the morning so that it sets the tone for your day.

IF you feel safe to, post one of your POWER Statements so we can give you a round of applause as well.

I'll kick things off with a POWER Statement...

I have Coached and impacted the lives of over 1000s of people to finding and reaching their career goals.

I look back and still can't believe it, but it truly fulfills me when I think about the faces and names that come to mind when I think about it.
