I think that depends on the type of work you do and the company. At some point in the interview process you will need to tell them you are pregnant.

If they're in the US, they do not have to disclose that information prior to being hired. It is illegal for a company to discriminate against a pregnant person, so it is best not to say anything about it at all until they have made their decision.

You do not have to tell anyone you are pregnant. I went through this exact situation. I was almost 12 wks pregnant by the time I finally landed a role and their response when I told them after I started? Congratulations! We do 18 wks 100% paid maternity leave!

I think it's worth it to get through the process to an offer before saying anything. Look at their benefits package and get a better feel based on the way their mat leave works. Do you have to be there a year before that type of benefit takes effect? Or is it immediate upon working there? That would be your biggest clue on their attitude on a pregnancy.

A good company will not only understand but embrace you and recognize from a business perspective, their support is an investment in your future career with them -- not to mention, if you're the right fit, what's a few months?

I personally waited until I was in the job a week before revealing this.

This was over 40 years ago, but I was 8 months pregnant when I interviewed for a job, and the company offered me the position to start right after I finished my leave. This was before the protections for pregnancy were in effect, except it had to be treated as any other "illness." If you are healthy and not in an at-risk pregnancy, there should be nothing stopping you from looking until the doctor tells you it could be putting you or your baby at risk. I presume you are looking for office-type or WFH jobs. Make sure you are not in a hazardous environment and all should be fine.

Don't discuss your pregnancy until you are hired. It is illegal to discriminate against pregnant people, but many companies will find another reason not to hire you if they know you'll be taking leave in short order. It's completely irrelevant to whether or not you are a good fit for the role.
