Elizabeth Romero is the Small Business Centralized Client Management & Specialty Support Executive at Bank of America. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing the overall sales plan and strategy for the profitable expansion and retention of the Small Business Centralized Sales segment. Romero's team consists of centralized business specialists, client relationship associates, treasury specialists and franchise program specialists, who deliver world class solutions and guidance to help business owner clients achieve their business and life priorities.
In her previous role, Romero was the Small Business Central Division Executive. The Central Division is responsible for delivering Small Business solutions to clients across 14 states which include, Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah. She was responsible for setting sales goals and direction for the business segment, integrating sales efforts with product development and client service requirements, and developing and implementing an integrated approach and sales program with lines of business across the enterprise working closely with Financial Centers, Customer Contact Centers, Commercial Banking, GWIM, US Trust, Merchant and Corporate leadership.
Romero has been in Consumer Banking for 26 years, joining Bank of America in 1994. She has performed in various roles such as South Texas Area Executive, Houston Metro Region Sales Executive, Market Manager, Personal Banker and Teller. She was the Market Integration Executive for Houston for several years, focusing on how the various lines of business support one another in Houston. She earned a bachelor's degree in finance from San Diego State University.
Romero is actively involved with the Bank of America Hispanic Small Business Spotlight and the International Women's Leadership Council. She is a chair of the enterprise Employee Engagement & Inclusion Council for Bank of America. She was a panelist at the 2019 United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce National Convention. In 2019, Romero was a Latina Style 50 Awardee and a panelist for the awards event in February 2020. She is a native of California that resides in Houston, Texas with her husband and three children. She frequently can be found at volunteer events in Houston and surrounding communities within her territory.
