This is a good place to work where they understand that family comes first. Most managers and leaders are understanding of family commitments and emergencies.

I think that some departments have a lot more flexibility than others. Hourly employees don't have many options to their worktimes. I would love more work from home time because I could totally do my job remotely and never have to go to the office.

  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

    8 paid / 4 unpaid

Normal time off is six weeks regardless of delivery method and that's not enough. I was appreciative of the two weeks of parental leave that were granted on top of the six that were given. I just wish I didn't have to get the dr to say that I needed a full 8 weeks (and more) to fully recover from my c-section.

Being a women is fine as long as you are young and new, so you get less compensation. Older workers are getting let go in droves as part of an 'initiative." Most of these workers are older women, who are less desired in the workforce.

They have great maternity benefits and wellness program. You have to make your own path and impact, no one is going to help you do it. Watch your back you will get stabbed going up the ladder.

there is a government mandate on the number of days paid leave; but may be we can explore longer period for maternity leave as it is practiced in other companies (some offers 16++ weeks paid)

Varies widely by manager and business unit. Some managers are flexible and some are not.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. for mid level career aspirations yes - not for management positions. The pay structure is intentionally midpoint and the target is low cost of labor markets. Previous emphasis on flexibility has waned. Catering to early in career folks with social niceties and internal twitter. Health Insurance is ok - company covers part of my insurance, but does not fund any of the coverage for my family.
