"Leadership loves to tell employees during company and departmental all-hands meetings that "Axon isn't for everyone." This is certainly true, but not for the reasons they promote. Axon isn't not for everyone because it's a "performance-based culture" (a statement that implies that those who feel out-of-place just aren't ready to put in the work), though that's the go-to response when someone asks leadership to address issues with work-life balance or with DEI initiatives or with the marked lack of diverse leadership. No, Axon's not for everyone because the bro culture that the C-suite projects is exclusionary by nature. If you're comfortable with a company where the COO counters concerns about what is says about our culture that we're adding the CEO of Barstool Sports to the Board of Directors with "Well, she's a woman, so how misogynist can we really be?" then Axon might be the place for you. "
