"that if you are in India , dont join. You will be squeezed for every hour in office but the moment you ask for a work from home as your child is sick, you will be doubted and considered careless."

"In the US i work for a client so i do not know how cognizant is with employees here in cognizant workplaces but in India (where i worked for 10.5 yrs) , all that matters is your time clocking in office. There is no space for mothers and their concerns with kids. There is no appreciation for work on weekends or late hours from home."

"Because there are not as many women in the organization as men so if women even want to do good an go up the ladder, she is always considered as a liability instead of an asset. Because they (men) think that somewhere these women at work will quit the job by giving more preference to their families which is totally incorrect. Men and Women are two different creatures and bring different skills at work. So it is very important to have this balance workforce ratio in any industry because men and women are actually complementary to each other.
