Cognizant offers a wide variety of roles - it is much more than just a technology firm! In my four years here I have had opportunities for growth and change, and have been given flexibility in my work week. As a forward-thinking and inclusive organization, I feel the firm has a bright future ahead.

Please do not join JPMC account of Cognizant ever in your life.

Flexibility really depends on your reporting manager. At cognizant's JPMC account, all managers are biased towards women.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. I would recommend joining Cognizant and working for any other client other than JP Morgan and Chase (JPMC), because Cognizant's management team at JPMC is gender and regionally biased.

I've had good experiences here in the four years I've worked in Jessup. I expect some more progressive changes as we continue to align with Cognizant's culture and P&P's.

Women are valued, especially in support roles. Senior level leadership and above to executive level leadership does not have a close ratio of men to women. However, there is a CPO (Chief People Officer) who does advocate for fairness and equal opportunity.

I did not take maternity leave here but this employer has influenced my personal decision on whether I want to have more children due to only receiving short term disability payments up to 6 weeks. After six weeks you are covered only under the rights of the FMLA act up to 6 more weeks with no pay.

It is like a big start-up policies are immature, the work is interesting but you have to fight for yourself to move up and make yourself known.
