"At least in my division the leadership team talks a big game about how many women they promote to leadership roles, but when it comes to company culture it is very heavily male centered. A lot of focus in the diversity and inclusion group for women is put on male allies and how women's issues will affect them. This is something that I think really needs to change in the company. If there is going to be any shift in company culture I think that the focus needs to be on retaining female employees and making it a safe and enjoyable place to work, so that in the future the company will be more welcoming to women. "if you are in an individual contributor role, you may be afforded some flexibility, but management roles are truly exempt from that. Flexibility will also only last so long - the company is constantly changing it's hiring needs and "absorbs" roles into existing ones to save money on the headcounts. That in turn will change your role and expectation that you pick up that work and shelf your flexibility to work more, or it's likely they will change the story to something in your performance reviews that you are not "willing to go above and beyond" "

"policies are on paper to state flexible work solutions, however, the application of this is pitiful. Bureaucratic and extensive process, only to be judged by wanting/needing something other than living for your work all hours of the day at this company."
