"Find mentorship and sponsorship in your respective spaces. Speak up early about what you need in order to have wlb. The company will take whatever you give so if you over work yourself, no one will stop you. But if you make boundaries for yourself and set expectations that you have a life outside of work, they will also take that. "

"There are many opportunities for women to be promoted into middle management in administrative functions (eg- project management). However women in scientific or medical fields, who don't want to go into management, the opportunities for career growth are not as great as for men (eg- senior medical director, etc)"

"It really depends on the direct manager -- some are very flexible with working remotely when needed, but others require you to be in the office (even though your job can be done remotely)"
