"Depends on environment where you work on: on Nordic European country is much different then in Mediterranean: it all depends on cultural belongings of managers; exceptions are rare.
Working in Mediterranean region I would say:
"Don't expect promotion on real management position (people manager on medium to upper level), be prepare to work hard and prove yourself twice as much than a man"
"Expect around 15-20% less money on same position and qualification""

"Technical departments are not very flexible for women. We are pushed to take up more of back office or administration roles to enjoy the flexibility"
