"Depending on your role, you can choose to work more hours as long as your manager is ok with it. But if you’re not salary and are hourly, you don’t get that flexibility in hours and overtime is looked down on. "

"The US Air Force and the US Air Force Reserve provide fantastic training (Air National Guard is also in the same category). If you don't already have a career path, the Air Force/Reserve/Guard can provide many options. If you already have a career path in mind, you are likely to find positions that are supportive of your path. Both Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard provide part-time jobs after an initial full-time training period. Participating part-time allows you to serve while also working another career."
