"At Exelon women and minorities are treated with equity. Policies regarding vacation, sick, and flexible working are generous. The focus on racial equity and inclusion over the past 18-24 months has led to a number of “old guard” boys’ club members to leave, making room for a new generation of employees. "

"I would tell another woman who is interested in Exelon Corporation that there are many opportunities for growth within the organization. That is a very big deal to me. I would also tell another woman that Exelon is a Utility based industry but there are many specialties within Exelon such as Finance, Project Management, Real Estate, We have nurses, We have Doctors, Security/Criminal Justice (protecting infrastructure), Insurance, Customer Service, Executive Assistance (ie Admin Asst work). Everyone that works here doesn't pick up the phones to discuss billing or when the power will be back on or fix power lines and transformer. There are many cogs in man wheels here that all come together to turn the business."

"We have a recent policy change to parental leave giving birth mom's 16 weeks paid time off, new dads/non-birth moms 8 weeks, and 2 weeks of primary caregiver leave if you need to take care of a family member."

"The maternity policy has changed since I had my son. I was able to cobble together STD, vacation and sick time to take 16 weeks. Now you get the 16 weeks, plus you can add on vacation. The company allows 6 mo of personal time off (unpaid unless you have paid time you can use up) - I believe this is in addition to FMLA. I believe this is very generous vs. other employers in our industry."
