"Be prepared to hear a lot about flexibility and how flexible the bank can be and think that means flexible hours and location, etc., but for it really to mean you can leave an hour early for your child's doctor's appointments without having to take vacation time. "

"More opportunity to work from home and stop using the excuse that if one person receives this option, then everyone would have to have it and some people (not you of course) would take advantage or decrease productivity if they were allowed to work from home."

"Getting paid while on leave is very complex here. I was paid short term disability for 8 weeks (2 extra weeks for a cesarean) but only 2 of those weeks were at 100%, 1 was paid at 100% by using all of my available sick time, the rest were at 60% of my pay. Then I could choose to take baby bonding time for 4 more weeks and would be paid for that using all of my vacation hours. They recently instituted a new policy that will pay those 4 weeks in full without using vacation but it is for baby's born on or after 8/1 (maybe next time if there is a next time)."
