I get to work on challenging problems that I feel passionate about. I would love to see more women on the military side of the business, and I do see that change coming (albeit slowly). We have excellent employee resource groups and I've built strong friendships with other women through those."

"GE Aerospace focuses on promoting women and fostering a community of inclusion. The Women's Network is amazing, espeically Women in Technology. There is an event for everyone to attend each month from professional development topics, engagement events and service projects. Aside from the Women's Network, GE Aerospace is flexible and perfect for a working mom. I've worked at other companies and the flexibility, promotability and culture are what keeps me here. For flexibility, GE Aerospace allows me to work from home in the morning and afternoons so I can get my child on/off the bus. If there is a doctor appointment (my daughter goes a min. of 2x/week), I am able to leave early/come in late or leave during the day to take her there. Overall, they trust me to get my job done and I continue to get promoted and evalulated for different roles. Thus, the promotability to grow upwards in the company is important to me. Lastly, the culture with the women's network and folks collaborating on topics make it a great place to work. Everyone is friendly, helpful and supportive in your career. "

"In the professional positions we have permissive time off, which means you take whatever you need, no counting of days. This is fantastic for WorkLife balance. I am always encouraged to take time off and enjoy the things I want to do. We promote women into many roles, and I see that they are treated equally, in offers, promotions and pay.
