"As long as you aren't in an Exec level role, there is a decent amount of work-life balance. Great flex-time policies and programs. Very progressive and generous. In the exec ranks it's a bit different story and while the female CEO sounds very supportive of other females, the reality is a bit different. "

"It depends on your group. Some teams have so much flexability that the company created office hours to benifit collaboration and customer tours. Whereas in other departments you are chained to your desk under close watch of micro-managers."

"At some point in your career, you will hit a wall. There is no way around it and very few mentors to help women push through those since there are some strong "good old boys club" roots still proudly woven through this company. Be prepared to use what you have learned to find a promotion at another company. This is a very common path for women within the West Michigan furniture industry."

"There are programs in place if you know how to work them and have a progressive work team leader. They are better than average but not up to par with the other progressive thought leadership the company touts. "
