"There are many women at the bottom rung of my practice, but only one female partner... I think rising up through the ranks in the consulting practice might be difficult for women. But this is just my perception - not sure how it actually looks for women who have attempted it.
Otherwise, IBM as a whole is an excellent place to work as a woman with awesome initiatives in place like Successful Women Inspiring Future Talent (SWIFT), tons of events for international women's day, and many policies in place to support women. "

"I can only share my experiences, but as a mum of two in a challenging role and a long commute, I cannot tell you how supportive IBM have been since I joined as part of an acquisition. I've been supported through building my experience and coached (just pending my promotion board) by a number of other men and women. To be a female ally here is something that is held in great pride by m/f/x alike. I work a flexible schedule which includes elements of compressed hours, mix of office and home base and have been able to purchase additional holiday to cope with the childcare demands of school aged children. I am inspired by so many women in leadership here, as well as those I am supporting to be the women in leadership of the future. People think that consulting is an inflexible environment but I have found that I am treated more than fairly and am accountable and motivated. "

"There is no equality practiced here as hiring as well as promotions do not take to account talent and expertise. This is as the main agenda in HR is to increase diversity and showcase this for branding purposes. Male CVs have intentionally been put aside during the recruitment process to accommodate diversity.
