"The leadership culture at IBM is not transparent. They are in financial ruins and constantly going through "transformations". The company also hires many roles females hold in the HR and Talent space as "Long Term Supplemental" employees. They do not believe in hiring the overhead employees as full-time employees and it sets a horrible tone and morale. Essential if you are a "cost" you will be a contractor or internal contractor of sorts for 10+ years. They also bait and switch these roles. Often advertising them as full-time roles then changing them to long-term supplemental once they offer the position. If you want to get promoted you have to align yourself with a female in the organization that believes and you and most of them don't because they are only focused on getting to the top for themselves. There is a lack of diversity and they are not even trying to increase diversity efforts at the senior levels. The company functions as an old ship, used to doing things the old-fashioned way and not willing to be innovative and step up and take a chance to be a 21st-century industry leader. Managers are also catty and unprofessional, and untrained on how to actually be people managers. The current culture is one of anxiety where everyone is anticipating getting laid off or team members are resigning left and right. "

"In the 20 years I've worked for IBM, I don't think I've ever missed an important family event, or any of my kid's school and extra-curricular activities. This has been so important to me, and has been the one thing I've valued most about working here. "
