It is hard/wierd hours (because of global teams), but you can work around your shedule to make it your own and take care of yourself and your loved ones. But be prepared to be overlooked for some opportunities over men candidates.

You will love IBM! It is dynamic, innovative, inclusive, and you will truly feel that you are working for a company that impacts our daily lives, sometimes (quite often, actually!) without us even being aware of it...

IBM has excellent policies and practices when it comes to work/life integration, but of course more often than not, how well they are publicized and applied depends on your manager, so it is very important that you get familiar with the practices that apply to your region/country and empower yourself to raise your voice if you do not think they are being widely used in your team, at least to understand why that is.

I think that sometimes WFH or schedule flexibility should be standarized and managers should be more flexible regarding this matter.

Maternity and paternity leave rocks! Great for early/middle career workers as long as you get your projects completed on time and well done. Don't expect accommodations for your schedule; just own your time and make decisions about your calendar.

  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

    8 paid / unpaid

I took 8 weeks maternity leave, 4 weeks vacation and about 2 weeks of management paid time off (4 months total). However, the maternity and paternity leave (and adoption leave) has recently been raised and it is now more likely someone has up to 6 months off in the US. It's really good for a US employer.
