"IBM is definitely a great place to work and the opportunities are endless, you can decide your own destiny. With access to mentoring, education, etc., as a woman, I do not feel (nor have ever felt) that women and men are not treated equally. You decide where you want your career to take you. Working for such a large company as IBM, you can try your hand at many things, and even make a complete change in career paths if that's what you want to do. Diversity abounds at this company, giving you the opportunity to work with a vast range of intellectual, insightful, individuals who offer so much to the success of IBM. My only strike would be that although the flexibility is great, the jobs are typically demanding and the "work" piece can sometimes outweigh the "life" piece of "work-life balance"."

"In my years at IBM, anytime I needed flexibility in my schedule, whether daily (drop/pick my children up), family emergency, etc., my management has always been incredibly flexible in letting me work my schedule around my family needs, which is critical for me, as my husband does not have the same flexibility. "

"Balancing personal life and work life is not an easy task. In fact many times the two can become one. Having an employer who encourages flexibility is critical. As an IBMer, we are fierce in our commitments and passion to deliver great work, but are equally passionate about delivering that in our personal lives too. I truly beleive IBM respects that and encourages a focus on resilience practices so we can refresh and take care of our selves to give our best inside and outside work. The key to remember is that we have to honor ourselves with boundaries and utilize the wellness tools that are available to us."
