"Working in IT is like a running treadmill. Most of the top positions are taken by white males or hires from Goldman Sachs. Unless you are a star and you get lucky to have encountered someone who appreciates your work, it is a long drawn and difficult process to be recognized let alone appreciated. This is specially true for women of color, Asian-Indian or other. Caucasian women have a lot more attention than most of the women in terms of diversity. At least there are some role models for them."

"There are a lot of women on top-level positions. As long as you have the skills, gender will not impede you from career advancement. Plus, they leave you enough time to live your own life ?"

"The company of course honors Solo parent leaves, paid equal to the employees' normal daily compensation.They also honor the extended maternity leave and they give additional paid breaks to moms who just gave birth, normally for the next 12 mos., so they can go *pump* milk, or catch some sleep. As for unpaid leaves, as long as the reason is valid, the management is normally receptive to those."
