"Find a sponsor and get yourself seen/get networking immediately. The same people tend to get promoted and/or get chosen for special projects, so make sure you get on the radar if you want to be one of these people. "

"Working in engineering here means low percentage of women (and a bit of an “old boys club” of middle aged white men) but the opportunities for growth are there. Women are not getting held back at my company, but are getting great leadership positions. There just aren’t that many of us."

"Flexibility all depends on who your manager is and whether you are in an exempt or non-exempt position. Many people work from home from time to time, though not everyone is in a position to do so, which feels unfair. 3 months maternity leave covered with partial pay, with an additional 3 mos unapaid available. "
