"Top management gives lip service to core values of integrity, respect and work/life balance but they protect and promote men who berate women in front of male peers and expect texts and phone calls to be answered immediately 24/7 including weekends and vacations. "

"Leadership places an emphasis on making sure that there are resources for women in the workplace, whether it is employee resource groups, paid family leave policies, flexible work arrangements, well-equipped and accessible nursing rooms, or return to work programming to get women back in the workforce after taking time off to have a family. I would 100% recommend it and consider L3Harris an industry leader in this arena. "

"Sometimes I do feel like I do not get as much opportunities as my male new-hire counterparts, but a part of the reason could also be because I'm a fresh grad with no prior working experience in the field, and also I had my bachelor outside of US. "

"It is an intense high-paced environment that has is continuing to evolve post merger. There are good benefits and they have done a really good job managing and communicating COVID."

"There are other environments that are far more pleasing. I have worked for several best in class companies, L3Harris is the least engaging, respectful environment I have experienced."

"They say that they are interested in equalizing women in leadership but they only open those conferences to elite selected women, not all employees with interest."

"Over the past few years I've noticed there are more women in executive and manager positions, and it seems like Harris is making an effort to hire more women as well. There are support systems like an employee resource group and a leadership speaker series and conference for women."

"This may depend on the location or department culture and customer requirements, but my management has always had the mindset that as long as employees are successfully contributing and meeting deadlines and goals, there is no reason not to allow flexibility."

"Harris doesn't have a specific maternity/paternity leave plan, but the discretionary PTO plan allows us to decide how much time off to request for vacation and other time off like maternity leave. I took 4 weeks of PTO for my maternity leave (in addition to my 6 weeks of short-term disability). I felt comfortable that by continuing to be a high performing employee, my management would still also approve additional PTO later in the year - I would just need to get higher level approvals. I know other women who have taken a full 12 weeks of paid leave through 6 weeks of PTO on top of STD. (I chose not to so I would hopefully have room to take more later)."
